Accelerating materials discovery by means of self-driving laboratories: The case for optoelectronic materials

e-Lecture
My research group, collaborators and I have engaged in the development of self-driving laboratories. Self-driving laboratories combine artificial intelligence and automated synthesis and characterization for the rapid closed-loop optimization and discovery of novel materials. In this talk, I will give an overview of the important elements that comprise these systems, as implemented in our lab, and will describe exciting progress in the optimization of candidate molecules for organic laser devices. What the heck is Tenure-Track?

In the German academic system, Tenure-Track is a relatively new concept. With a tenure-track position, one gets the opportunity to an immediately transition to a permanent position when successfully completing the probationary period (known as the tenure-track phase). The majority of tenure-track positions come along with a professorship; less common and known are lecturer or researcher positions with tenure-track. [more]
