Welcoming a new member of Plasma-Spin-Energy project!
We are pleased to welcome Ilia Demydenko to the project team of Core of Excellence “Plasma-Spin-Energy” as an internship student!
He joined the team at the beginning of March and will be supporting the project over the next three months.
Ilia is currently a second-year Master's student at V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University (Kharkiv, Ukraine). Since the third year of the
bachelor's studies his research has been related to plasma physics,
especially, numerical simulations with Particle-in-Cell codes. Despite his young age Ilia has already published eight articles in various scientific journals and presented his work at eight conferences. In 2021, he received a Gold Medal at the International Innovation Show “E-NNOVATE” (Poland).
He has been awarded the Scholarship of the Ukrainian Parliament (Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine) and has received the Ukrainian Presidential Scholarship four times.
During the internship Ilia will be involved in numerical simulations of RF plasma discharges for magnetron sputter deposition of spintronic layers.
We wish Ilia a successful and inspiring time at our institute!
