Core of Excellence promotes the career development of young researchers
We are pleased to share that Ilia Demydenko has started his PhD research within the “Plasma-Spin-Energy” project immediately after the successful defence of his Master’s thesis at V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and the completion of his internship with the Core of Excellence team.
During his internship, Ilia deepened his skills and knowledge in theoretical plasma physics and numerical plasma modelling, and became acquainted with the experimental equipment used in thin-film deposition. The numerical modelling of magnetron discharges he conducted during the internship, aimed at improving process control for magnetron sputter deposition of ultrathin layers for spintronics, forms the basis of a research paper that is currently in the final stages of preparation.
We wish Ilia continued success in his research career!
