Guest house of the Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics
General information
While visiting our institute we offer you the possibility to rent a room in our guest house. Please contact the assistant of your department to book a room.
Equipment
11 apartments equipped with:
- double bed
- desk / chair
- wardrobe
- private bathroom with shower/WC
- Internet access (WLAN - eduroam)
- bed linen / towels
All rooms are non-smoking rooms. Pets are not allowed.
Additionally the following facilities can be used:
- a fully equipped common kitchen
- a laundry room with two washing machines and two tumble dryers (free of charge)
- a spacious common room and a terrace
Rental period
The guest rooms can be rented by our (guest) scientists and visitors for a maximum period of 3 months.
From 1 week rental period a deposit of 250 EUR is due; from 1 month rental period the deposit increases to 700 EUR.
Cleaning
Starting from 1 week rental period, the rooms are cleaned regularly (once per week) and the towels are changed (on request also change of bed linen).

Self-catering is required for the guest rooms. You have the following options:
