Nano-Systems from ions, spins and electrons
Main Focus
Fabrication and Investigation of 2D Superconductor Devices: The research aims towards the development of novel devices that have applications in quantum computing and superconducting circuits. The main regions of interest are unconventional types of superconductivity, their interaction and novel quantum phenomena. Nanofabrication techniques are used to make devices that can be explored performing electrical transport measurements at cryogenic temperatures. Of special interest are the superconducting diode effect, topological states, the interaction between superconductivity and magnetism and the influence of reduced dimensions on superconductivity.
