Intercultural communication is the base for understanding one another and ensuring good work relations when working in a multicultural environment. In this workshop we look at the Cultural Navigation System that focuses on Communication styles - verbal, low and high contexts, directness vs. indirectness, disagreeing, trust.

The ability to communicate across cultures enhances trust. In order to cultivate a sense of well-being at work we need know that others understand us and that comes with having trust.The focus is to raise awareness and understanding, as well as encourage open communication so that the outcome is a thriving and productive working environment.Together we will cover the following topics:• What is Intercultural Communication?• What is Low Context Communication vs. High Context Communication• Intercultural Communication and Trust• How is trust defined? (Individually, culturally)• Trust in the workplace and its benefits• How to build/enhance trust at work
