The IMPRS was successfully renewed until 2028

After a successful first period, the International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) at the Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics has been positively evaluated and extended for another six years. It will support up to 35 Ph.D. students in the field of novel atomically engineered materials for nano-systems.

"I am looking forward to working with our students and partners to make our IMPRS even more effective and valuable in the next 6 years", says Stuart Parkin, spokesperson of the IMPRS.

The internationality of the young junior scientists is also reflected in the international partnerships of the IMPRS. Within the IMPRS, partners from Israel, Switzerland, and the Netherlands are involved.

About the International Max Planck Research School

The International Max Planck Research School for Science and Technology of Nano-Systems (IMPRS-STNS) exploits the successful research network between the Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics, the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and the Fraunhofer Institute for Microstructure of Materials and Systems IMWS, Halle, to carry out research into novel atomically engineered materials for nano-systems which tackles grand societal challenges in the fields of information technology and sustainability.

Structured doctoral training and excellent research conditions - this is what the International Max Planck Research Schools stand for.
