Harnack House - conference venue of the Max Planck Society

The workshop will take place at the Harnack House, the conference venue of the Max Planck Society.

Harnack House is situated on Ihnestraße 16-20, 14195 Berlin, Germany. The venue is well connected with the rest of the city through Berlin’s underground network.The nearest station is Thielplatz on the U3 subway line, just a short walk away. Directions to Harnack House

From BER Airport

To get to Harnack House from Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), board the S-Bahn line S9 heading toward Spandau. Disembark at Warschauer Straße and switch to the U3 line toward Krumme Lanke. Get off at Freie Universität (Thielplatz) station. Exit the station following the direction of travel, using the left exit. Harnack House is located about 100 meters to the right. Note: the airport lies in fare zone C, so be sure to purchase an ABC ticket, as standard AB tickets do not cover this area.

From Berlin Central Station

From the central station, take the S-Bahn line S7 heading toward Potsdam Hauptbahnhof. At Zoologischer Garten, transfer to U9 toward Rathaus Steglitz. Then change at Spichernstraße to U3 heading for Krumme Lanke, and get off at Freie Universität (Thielplatz). Follow the direction of the train and use the left-hand exit. Harnack House will be about 100 meters to the right.

From Südkreuz Station

Take the S41 Ringbahn and get off at Heidelberger Platz. From there, switch to the U3 toward Krumme Lanke and alight at Freie Universität (Thielplatz). Exit following the direction of travel using the left exit, and walk about 100 meters to the right to reach Harnack House.

From Spandau Station

Board the U7 subway heading toward Rudow and get off at Fehrbelliner Platz. Change there to U3 in the direction of Krumme Lanke and ride to Freie Universität (Thielplatz). Take the left exit from the station, follow the path to the right, and you’ll arrive at Harnack House in just a few minutes.

By Car

If driving via the A115, take exit 2 (Hüttenweg) and turn right toward Dahlem. Continue straight until you reach Clayallee, then turn right. At the following intersection, make a left onto Saargemünder Straße. Harnack House will be on your right at the corner with Ihnestraße.
