The project of CoE team won competition in the IEEE call “Magnetism for Ukraine 2025” with the top score

On April 3, the results of the “Magnetism for Ukraine 2025” competition were announced by the Magnetics Society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE Magnetics Society). Among the fourteen winners, the highest score was received by the team of the German-Ukrainian Center of Excellence Plasma-Spin-Energy for their project "Stochastic Dynamics of Domain Walls and Skyrmions on a Racetrack Memory" by Sergiy Bohatyrenko, Renata Osypova, Anton Hlushchenko and Oksana Andrieieva.
The project started on April 1, 2025 wiht a duration of 12 mounths.

Yelyzaveta Mala joined the German-Ukrainian Core of Excellence "Plasma-Spin-Energy" as a PhD student in March 2025. She graduated from V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Faculty of Phycics and Technology, and completed the experimental part of her master’s thesis at MPI Halle. As part of her PhD research, she will work on plasma particles and energy flux engineering to improve the properties of spintronic structures. Currently, she is working on enhancing SOT efficiency for MRAM and Racetrack Memory.

Regarding the project topics, he will complement the team with his expertise in theoretical physics. Together the scientific concept of the project can be further developed and optimized. more
